NY1439254 The Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter is pleased to announce the addition of a Behavior Intervention Specialist II (BIS II) to our growing Clinical Team! In this role one will be directly responsible for developing functional behavior assessments and positive behavior support plans for the improved health, safety and quality of life for the people we support. The BIS II is responsible for assisting in the implementation of behavior plans, completing required documentation, developing related curriculum, educating all program staff, and participating in related on-site activities. Responsibilities: - Prepares, develops, and implements individualized behavior support/monitoring plans under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (for restrictive and non-restrictive behavior support plans) or BIS I (for non-restrictive BSP). - Prepares, develops, and implements individualized behavior/monitoring plans. - Works with the people we support, legal guardian/advocate, family and other team members to develop a program of valued outcomes that are meaningful to the person, specifically focusing on the area of behavior supports utilizing a positive approach. - Presents Behavior Support Plans with restrictive elements at the Human Rights Committee and monitors the follow up recommendations. - Works with team members to ensure that the capacity to provide informed consent is current and accurate and informed consent is sought in accordance with the person's needs. - Trains all program staff and/ or supervisory staff in the implementation of the approved behavior plans. Obtains/maintains proof of training documentation. - Ensures monthly behavior data is current and reviews behavior data/notes. - Records behavioral incidents and incident reports as necessary and forwards to appropriate entities. - Assists in ensuring compliance to Agency and OPWDD governing regulations regarding behavioral interventions. Qualifications: - Master's Degree preferred from an accredited College or University in a clinical or treatment field of psychology, social work, school psychology, or applied psychology as it relates to human development and clinical interventions; - Board Certification in Behavior analysis (BCBA) and a Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or field closely related such as clinical/ community psychology or; - BCBA and NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor and; In addition to the above three pathways have or obtain specialized training in or experience with FBA techniques and BSP development.
