Job Summary: The Helper - Wet Machine (Stacker) is responsible for removing and stacking wet laps of fiber material from the wet machine roll. This individual must properly follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that quality and production standards are met. The Helper-Wet Machine is required to comply with all safety, production, quality requirements and standards, record all production data as required, and understand and follow all plant policies. Duties and Responsibilities: Removing, without damage, a formed wet lap (of any dimensions, within required specifications) from the Wet Machine making roll. Stacking wet laps (interleafing with press cloths, when required) in a straight and square manner; and in an undamaged condition. Recognizing, pulling all defects for re-use. Reporting such defects to the Machine Tender. Assisting in all phases of set-ups, wash-ups and minor maintenance, to prevent unnecessary downtime and insure top quality, clean start-ups. Be able to work with a partner as a team in order to properly remove laps from roll. Operate all equipment and carry out all procedures in a safe and controlled manner. Being responsible for the general housekeeping of the Wet Machine area. Perform various other duties as assigned based on allowable time and requirements. FABRIC SEWER: Job duties include: Operate industrial power sewing machines to sew, alter and bind netting fabrics as determined by engineering specifications of the project. Responsible for removing product off stacks and pulling product to the sewing machine. Perform counting and inspecting of the product during the sewing process. Review work for quality, accuracy, neatness, and to determine if instructions have been met. Observe sewing machine operation to detect defects in stitching or machine malfunction. Replace sewing machine parts and perform basic maintenance, such as oiling machine, removing improper sewing/binding and repairing thread breaks. Expected to maintain all housekeeping items and follow all housekeeping procedures associated with the position. Sew replacement parts or missing stitches, according to repair tickets. 1st Shift, Full-Time. Starting Pay: $15-$18/Hourly Location: Croghan, NY


WELDER: Responsibilities: Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job. Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment. Monitors the welding, burning and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage. Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded. Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area. Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Performs other related duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities: Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair. Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints. Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms. Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
