Job Description:

  POSITION TITLE: Partnership for Success Project Director/Coalition Coordinator 100% level of effort Reports to: UP! Coalition Executive Team and Executive Director of MVPS Description of duties and responsibilities: The Project Director/Coalition Coordinator will be charged with the day to day operation of the grant and Coalition to include but not be limited to: Project management responsibilities: Maintain contact with OASAS partners assigned to the project; participate in required meetings and technical assistance activities and webinars Facilitate the hiring and training of project personnel Develop and maintain project Logic Model and implement annual Action Plan Prepare and submit required performance reports Prepare budgets and adhere to an overall project and yearly budgets Compile other types of information as required and requested to monitor the project Work with the local project evaluator to collect data and ensure that an evaluation is completed to specifications Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform a continuous improvement process Ensure compliance with grant requirements General responsibilities: Train coalition members, including guiding the UP! Coalition through the SPF process Convene monthly coalition and Executive Committee meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and ensure their dissemination Participate in pertinent community meetings to promote awareness of the coalition mission and activities Prepare monthly newsletters and marketing materials as needed for coalition activities Plan, implement, and assess environmental prevention and intervention strategies to reduce substance use among youth and community members at large Coordinate activities with the coalition members, ad hoc subcommittee members, the youth coalition and outside agencies and partners in prevention Promote environmental activities and communicate with coalition members, parents and youth, school administrators, local media, and other community partners Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelors degree in Public or Community Health or related field, such as Public Administration, Educational Administration, Social Psychology, or Social Work 3 to 5 years of experience with staff supervision, budgeting, and large project management responsibilities preferred Prior experience collaborating with public service, law enforcement, mental health, or other service entities to enhance community development and the promotion of a safe and healthy community Skills and knowledge desired: Knowledgeable about the Strategic Prevention Framework Able to analyze and utilize data as part of a strategic planning process Experience with web-based reporting systems Familiar with environmental strategies for the reducing alcohol and substance misuse Ability to identify and involve appropriate people in determining project direction and to effectively participate in professional team efforts Capacity to communicate effectively through oral, written, and visual channels, as well as utilize software tools Ability to utilize project resources within the community Familiarity with the PFS project target population, local communities, and the needs of our population Personal qualities: Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively Excellent communication and organizational skills Amount of travel: Candidate must have reliable transportation to travel throughout Lewis County. Travel to PFS training events, meetings, and relevant conferences will be required. Salary: $50,000 annually. Benefits include health, dental, and retirement. Hours per day or week: Full-time position, 35 hours per week Some nights and weekends required
